Bridging Communities: Join Us at Buffalo AKG on October 4th for a Creative Evening of Connection and Celebration
Join the Ralph Wilson Park Conservancy team at the Buffalo AKG on Friday, October 4th, from 4-8pm for M&T First Fridays, where we’re celebrating the art of bridging gaps—both literally and metaphorically—to connect communities and spark understanding.
What to expect:
* Dive into hands-on fun with the AKG team’s drop-in bridge-building art project in Studio A, designed for all ages and centered around collaboration and connectivity.
* Buffalo Architecture Foundation volunteers will be leading a bridge design and construction activity, showing how different structures provide safety & stability.
* Experience the excitement as we showcase a 3-D model of the Ralph Wilson Park Bridge, , generously printed by Buffalo Manufacturing Works, set to transform the Buffalo skyline along the I-190 this fall.
* BuffaLUG, our local LEGO enthusiasts, will lead a community LEGO build inspired by the bridge.
But that’s not all! In Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Town Square, our partners from the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Day Parade will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with vibrant music, dancing, and festivities.
This family-friendly event is free to attend with pay-what-you-wish museum admission from 10am – 8pm. Don’t miss out on an evening packed with inspiration, creativity, and community spirit at the Buffalo AKG!
